COMPETITIONS

Privacy Policy

How Divine Ink Tattoos Limited uses personal information on the competition website.

Who is responsible

Divine Ink Tattoos Limited is the controller for this website. Our registered office is Leanne House, 6 Avon Close, Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom, DT4 9UX. Contact support@divineinktattoos.co.uk about privacy, account information or your rights.

Information we handle

Account information includes your first and last names, email address, county, mobile number, account identifier and public winner-name preference. Authentication is handled through Supabase. Do not send us your password.

Competition records include your entries, entry references, timestamps and entry source. We record when your winner-display choice was confirmed, the notice version, and changes to your private identity and display settings, including previous and new values. New entries retain a snapshot of the display preference and county at acceptance; this does not override a later privacy choice for publication. Where a referral link is used, we record the connection between inviter, invited account and relevant competition so we can apply the stated reward limit. Postal entries contain the details you submit for entry processing.

Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request details and device or browser information to deliver and protect the website. Support messages contain the information you choose to send. If payments are introduced, transaction references, amounts, provider and status will be needed; we do not currently offer paid checkout.

Mobile checks and review records

We normalise mobile numbers into international format to identify duplicate account contact details. This is a format and duplicate-record check, not SMS verification, proof of ownership or a guarantee that the number works. Your number is not published or used as permission for marketing.

Administrators can review a number conflict and release an incorrectly recorded number after appropriate checks. We retain account-status decisions, reasons, actor identifiers and timestamps, and an audit of changes to contact information. A duplicate number does not automatically suspend an account. Contact support to correct a number or challenge a restriction. We do not operate an automated identity-verification or device-fingerprinting system in this release.

Purposes and lawful bases

We use information necessary to administer your account, accepted entries and prizes to perform our agreement with you or take steps at your request. We use relevant records to meet legal obligations where applicable.

We rely on legitimate interests to protect the site, investigate misuse, resolve support requests and keep proportionate audit records, taking account of your rights. Where consent is required for optional marketing or device storage, we will request it separately. Registering or entering is not consent to unrelated marketing.

Who receives information

Authorised staff and service providers receive information needed for their role. The current site uses Supabase for authentication and database services and Vercel for hosting. Email services process support and account-verification communications. Providers’ international processing may involve transfers outside the UK; where required, appropriate safeguards such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections must apply.

If you invite someone, your Referral Centre may show their first name and registration or qualifying-entry status; it is not a view of their private contact details. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information where required by law or necessary to address a dispute. We do not sell account information.

Postal records

Postal submissions include account name, email, mobile number, competition title, campaign and date. Authorised administrators use them to match the person and competition and record one entry per accepted letter. The receipt reference, arrival time, entry and processing administrator are recorded for support and audit. These contact details are not public winner information.

Winner privacy

First name, last name and county are required at registration and can be corrected in Account Settings. Before your first entry, a popup asks you to provide your mobile number and select and save a public winner format, with no option preselected. A previously saved choice remains selected when you are only adding a missing mobile number. Full name is optional; reduced-name, county-only and complete withholding choices are available. Reduced names are not a guarantee of anonymity. We do not display email addresses, phone numbers or account IDs on winner cards.

Change your choice in Account Settings or contact us to object to disclosure before publication. Changing your profile does not automatically rewrite a result already published; contact support to request an update or removal. Evidence of a valid award may still need to be supplied to the ASA or another competent authority. We will ask separately about photos or promotional testimonials.

Storage and retention

We retain account details while needed to provide your account. Entry, referral, support and payment records are retained for as long as needed to administer competitions, handle disputes and meet applicable accounting or legal duties. Retention is reviewed according to the record’s purpose; we do not promise immediate erasure of records we must lawfully keep.

You can request account closure or deletion by email. We will explain any information that must be retained and why. Browser storage is described separately in the Cookie Policy.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect lawful use before withdrawal. We may need to confirm your identity to protect your account.

Contact support@divineinktattoos.co.uk first if you have a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. This site is for adults aged 18 or over; contact us if you believe an underage account has been created.

Changes and external sites

We will update this notice as features and providers change. Social links open external services with their own privacy practices; following them is optional. Accepting this privacy notice does not subscribe you to marketing emails or push notifications.
