Terms & Conditions
General website and participation terms. Read these together with the details of the competition you enter.
The organiser
Divine Ink Competitions is operated by Divine Ink Tattoos Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 13904070. Registered office: Leanne House, 6 Avon Close, Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom, DT4 9UX. Contact: support@divineinktattoos.co.uk.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to register or participate. Use accurate details and keep access to your account secure. One account per person is permitted. Do not use another person’s identity, create additional accounts to bypass limits or rewards, or use automated entry tools.
Paid checkout is unavailable. Any location restrictions for a competition must be stated on its page before entry; contact support if these are unclear. Being able to create an account does not itself establish eligibility for every prize.
Age and eligibility evidence may be requested before a prize is awarded. We will explain how to supply evidence securely; do not email identity documents unless we have arranged an appropriate method.
Mobile numbers and account review
Provide your own UK-format mobile number before your next new entry, including if you already have an account. It is private and used for prize contact and account protection. We check its format and ordinarily allow one account per normalised number. We do not send an SMS verification code or treat a supplied number as proof of identity or ownership.
If your number is already recorded, has been recycled, is shared, or you cannot provide a suitable number, contact support before the closing time for an individual review and entry assistance. Do not use somebody else’s number or open another account to get around a restriction. Existing accepted entries are not cancelled merely because contact information needs updating.
Where there is evidence of duplicate-account abuse, fraud, deliberate payment misuse, threats, or another material breach, we may apply a proportionate restriction while investigating, or suspend or close participation after review. A review flag alone does not block entries. Purchase restrictions allow free entries; entry restrictions, suspension and closure prevent new entries across routes. These controls do not delete existing records or automatically disqualify previously accepted entries.
Decisions are made by an authorised administrator and recorded with reasons. We will explain a restriction and how to challenge it, unless disclosure would be unlawful or compromise a legitimate investigation. Contact support to seek review; where a mistake is found we will correct it. Sharing a household, network or unverified phone number is not, by itself, proof of abuse. Statutory rights and legitimate complaints or refund requests remain protected.
Competition details and entry routes
The competition page identifies the prize, the opening and closing times, entry routes and the maximum entries per person. Check those details each time: a sample package or a limit from another competition does not override the current competition’s terms.
A first free account entry and a referral reward apply only where expressly offered. One qualifying referral reward is available per inviter per competition. The normal-rate postal route does not require buying a package; use the Free Entry Route instructions.
Paid checkout is currently unavailable. Payment-provider approval and a complete payment flow are required before paid entries can be sold. Do not send payment outside the website in response to an unsolicited message.
Entry records and closing
An account registration, a click or a shared link is not proof that an entry has been accepted. Check your entry history or contact support. Report missing entries with the competition title and your account email. Internal entry codes are not displayed in your account.
Only entries accepted under the published conditions are eligible for the draw. Postal submissions must arrive by the displayed closing time; allow for delivery. The same personal entry limit applies across entry routes. Closing the competition stops further entries but does not mean winners have already been selected or announced.
Temporary entry pauses
If an operational issue requires a temporary pause, entry processing is paused across all routes. Existing accepted entries remain recorded and the closing time is not automatically extended. Timely postal arrivals are kept for processing after resuming and before the draw. A pause is not a cancellation; contact support if an interruption affects your participation.
Draws and publication
For competitions published under our one-prize rule, each person may win a maximum of one prize per competition. First prize is selected at random, then all remaining entries belonging to that winner are excluded from subsequent prize selections; the process repeats for second and third prize. Each eligible entry has an equal chance in each selection, regardless of entry route. Multiple entries increase your chance of winning one prize. Existing competitions follow the rules published when they opened.
After closing, timely postal submissions and outstanding entry issues are reviewed before the eligible pool is frozen and a private random draw is recorded. Public announcement reveals that saved result; it does not run another draw. The entry pool, selection and publication actions are retained for audit.
At least three distinct eligible entrants are needed for a three-winner draw under this rule. If there are fewer, the draw requires review; prizes are not silently removed and closing dates are not automatically extended. We will explain the issue and the remedy in line with the published conditions. Check the competition details or contact support for draw enquiries.
A winner reveal is distinct from selection. We will not publish invented winners, and Awaiting draw is not a result.
Before your first entry, save your public winner-display choice. No option is preselected: choose your full name, a reduced name, a reduced name with county, county only with a withheld-name label, or Details withheld. This choice does not affect your chance of winning. You can change it in Account Settings before publication. Contact support before publication to object or request less public information. We may still need to provide evidence of a valid award to the Advertising Standards Authority or another competent authority. Photos, testimonials and promotional appearances require a separate agreement.
Prizes and appointments
Read the prize description, value and fulfilment conditions before entering. Tattoo images illustrate artwork; the actual design and appointment must be agreed with the studio. A tattoo is subject to the studio’s normal consultation and suitability process.
Any voucher expiry, transfer restriction, cash alternative, travel cost or delivery charge must be disclosed with the prize. Contact us if a condition is missing or unclear. Prize collection and tattoo appointments are arranged directly with the winner.
Problems, changes and cancellation
If we cancel a paid competition, paid entries will be refunded in full. If a significant change affects a purchase, contact support about the available remedy. Our Refund Policy explains requests, duplicate charges and payment errors.
We will not retrospectively introduce terms that unfairly disadvantage existing entrants. A genuine technical or administrative error will be investigated using the available entry and payment records. An allegation of misuse is not a reason to disregard a customer’s legal rights.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights continue to apply. Use the Complaints page if we have not resolved a problem; these terms do not prevent you from seeking independent advice or using a remedy available under applicable law.
